Many great ideas are written on paper towels. That's exactly what happened when three men came together to create laptop company personnel in manufacturing computers. Leaving his job at Texas Instruments, Rod Camon, Jim Harris and Bill Murto, each contributed for U.S. $ 1000 and put their ideas on a napkin in a Houston pie shop.
These ideas became reality in 1982. After a year of Compaq's offer initial public has been more than 67 million dollars on the NASDAQ. It has sent more than 53,000 laptops, and establish a record turnover over 111 million U.S. dollars during its first year. Compaq a few years later broke all box-office records and was classified as the faster the Fortune 500 company. They were the first in the world market share of PCs in 1995, due to product expansion and development several offices, notebooks and pen computers.
Many things happened over the years to Compaq. Events such as surveys have a great magazine Forbes, which have agreements with Radio Shack, purchased in December, and the name of Alta Vista.
