Ever wonder if the priest feels more painful than the disease? Never thought to take the laptop out the window?
We became so dependent on computers to communicate and conduct our daily activities. We took our laptop on a trip with us and we treat it as an appendix our body. But wait! It gets worse. We take our i-phone or Blackberry clipped to our belt or bag. Each session begins with the announcement that please extinguish all manufacturers electronic noise as a courtesy to the speakers. It is hoped that automatically most of the hearing be packing electronic equipment.
Even seeing people enter the church and the gym with his cell phone fixed your belt. I understand that "reach out and touch someone, but an hour? We become hopelessly addicted. The next thing you know, we'll see groups that meet in secret and who call themselves CA – communication or drug addicted to the computer.
Before you paranoid or upset, I hasten to admit, I'm guilty too. This extends to epidemic proportions. My little son adorable 4 years of age have a serious case of computer addiction. Kaden can not wait to get their sticky fingers on my Blackberry and laptop. Do not get me wrong not in fact know exactly what to do with them. Sure, he looks for the early games, but this child prodigy, little is known how to find and how to play too. We have created a generation of addicts. What is this world?
Why is this issue to the forefront of my attention today? A little a week I wrote about my suffering from terminal equipment "blue screen of death". The patient remained in the emergency room mail and return home with the new operating system Windows 7. Good news and bad news. Good news that data was recovered and reinstalled. The bad news is that Windows XP died on the operating table. Windows 7 was transplanted and the patient lived. Major surgery and a washing line full house added to the recovery period. Windows 7 is the new Microsoft "more" operating system. Seems interesting, right? Yes and no. Officially, Windows 7 will not be released until October 23.
A step so childish for an operating system follows logically that many programs and technicians are less familiar with all the complexities and adaptations. So far, I have five hours with the Palm Pilot to discover that my Tungsten C refuses to play nice with Windows 7, I have a PDA with a capacity no Hot Sync. Cyberspace help if the PDA is lost or loses power.
Today was four hours with my powerful desktop scanner to check equipment and fingers touching but who do not complete the electronic handshake. Thanks techies patient leaves the bridge of the Treasury, we obtain a work stop-gap A-Round temporary solution.
Installing a new, almost free, the operating system in non-techie-owned laptop requires patience, a cup of coffee strong and, occasionally, a bullet to bite to suppress thoughts and words that seeped into the conscious expression.
Progress! Most programs are running. I am currently able to work. Oh yes, I learn so much every time. I am also grateful an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn.
