The idea of Laptop came as early as the end of 1960 with the Dynabook, but this Tablet PC is primarily for children.
There had no real commercial incentive to develop a truly portable computer, (and was regarded as impossible, anyway), then there was that much more later, thanks to new advances in transistors and processors, the notebook was considered more a child's toy.
In the 80 years that the team really laptop has been developed, the Osborne 1 has no batteries, (which had be connected), but at least the data and the computer could be transported.
A couple of years later, in 1982, were released from Compaq equipment.
It is widely accepted that Compaq was not much better than Osborn 1, but because he was using the new states of the popular DOS operating system (used in most IBM computers at the time), was an immediate success.
